The VIN is inside the windshield, on the dash right in front of the driver. Depending on what body style your car is, it will be something like YM43K8C123456, where the last 6 numbers represent the approximate unit number, starting with 100,000, of your car in the series built at the Jefferson plant. It will not tell you your color information, or anything else about your car other than what is stated above. For that information, you need to decode your data plate (AKA fender tag), which is under the hood, on the left front fender. The fender tag may have part or all of the VIN also.
