Well the AVS is on and works sweetly. The choke is tied open as the Holley spring setup in the manifold will not match the Carter choke. And I made up another steel fuel line for the Carter as the fuel inlet is on the passenger side at the rear of the carb as opposed to front drivers side on the Holley. But does it ever run nice now. Have to check fuel mileage but I expect an improvement there also as the Holley was overfueling. Couldn't seem to fix it and I am not about to spend hundreds on a new one when the AVS can be rebuilt with a kit for about $25.00 and run as good as a Holley if not better. Not that I hate Holley's. I have friends who have run new Holleys and they performed well. But just seems that they deteriorate with age. On the other hand the Carter is just as old but it doesn't leak and it performs like new. Happy camper. R.
