I once knew a Peggy Sue, but she turned out to be a 1957 Chevy convertible, nice gal but couldn't compare with an Imperial. You might want to check for a bad battery. I had one that acted like this, wouldn't hold a charge, even though not too old. I took it back to NAPA to be checked, the battery was bad, so they exchanged it for a new one, though I did have to pay for the time I had it, but that wasn't much. Check the simple things first.
