comment for restoration

Dedy;
 The car isn't completely original, from a mechanical standpoint. Someone has replaced the generator with an alternator. Also the original power steering pump has been replaced with one of a newer design. The original had a black cylinder on the top that was used as a reservoir. The original was also powered off of the back of the generator. The original windsheild washer bottle was a originally a glass jar and the oil filler cap should be black with an orange decal. The hubcaps aren't factory original but perhaps Mr. Sukarno didn't like the crowns as I notice that a number of them have been replaced with a coat of arms elsewhere on the car.
  The interior of the car doesn't look too bad, at least the door panels and carpet do. I can't speak about the seats as they appear to be covered with blankets but the armrests in the back look good. From a cosmetic point of view it looks like a good original car but its your call.
Best Regards

After you check out the web page on our '54 imp limo, I would like to poll your comments. This car, as you can see on the page, is good looking and straight. In addition, it is all original and historical too. What do you say about replacing the headliner, fabrication, carpeting and repainting it? (they are worn and reeks for long) The replacement fabric will be as close to the original as possible and the new paint will be computer simulated for closest matching with the old one. You think that it is worth it?

Thanks for any comment.
