Engine Overheating



The fan shroud is critical only at idle, by ensuring that all the air that the 
fan sucks is coming from in front of the radiator rather than through the 
sides.  If you don't drive your car in rush hour with AC on, you may be OK.  If 
you are in doubt, install one of the mechanical temperature gauges (at least 
temporarily) and see how its doing.  D^2
