I have a 63 crown and my distributor breaker plate came loose. The points don't make contact and the car dies. You may have a problem with this also.
My car gets funky and dies out. I am taking the breaker plate apart to see if I can re-connect everything. If you have a repair manual for the car, you will find a breakdown for the distributor.
