90's Imperial brakes

I'll attempt this with the experts comments to hopefully follow.

My  car's ABS pumps pressure shortly after start up and periodically afterward either after braking or a long while of non use.  The accumulator  I determined was bad because it was pumping up pressure too frequently and took a long time for the various brake idiot lights to go off right after a morning start.  I am not quite sure this is your problem as I understand that if ABS fails the brakes will still work.  Do you have a service manual for this car.  I will look in mine and see if mine has the same brand and then if so the instructions for service will be helpful.

Ya see, Matt, it's like this.  The booster motor(?) started making whirring sounds like it was resetting the pressure on the brake.  Soon, it did this more often and then every time I pressed the brake pedal.  One day about 3 weeks ago I stopped getting the whirring sound and the result were NO BRAKES!!!  Hard pedal that took a 600 lb man to apply the darned things.

My brake mechanic has never seen a setup like I have (I guess it's a Bendix10) and is unable to fix it.

So, the car sits and looks pretty.

Any ideas??
