John,

This foot dragging thing is positively prewar!  Your
postwar Imperial will be quite resistant to this
methodology and tough on your dress shoes.

What adjustments do you need to do?

Most of the time, the presence of brakes but the absence of
boost means that your booster needs to be rebuilt.  This is
a modular piece that gets repaired (normally by others) and
then bolted back in, so not much adjustment.  Anything else
would be in the brake system and not the booster, unless
you have a hole or disconnection in your hoses that go to
the manifold that generates and delivers the vacuum to the
booster.

Please expand on what you think needs attention.  I
replaced my 73 booster in about an hour, and I was snapping
the wife forward in her seat once again.
