"Battery shut off"? Sure, call it that if you like. Its a device that
connects between the battery post and the battery cable. Mine has a green
knob on it and about a half turn counterclockwise will completely disconnect
the battery from the car (electrically speaking). You're right! I always
turn it off when I plan to be not driving my car for more than a couple of
days. It guards against fire, it ensures nothing in the car drains the
battery, and its not such a bad little anit-theft device, at least it would
take someone another minute or two to figure out why there is no power to
the car if trying to steal it.
I don't know about NAPA. I get them from another supplier here in town. I
can see if I could score a deal if enough people were interensted in them.
I'll see if I can get a picture of it online for folks to look at.
