Joe, Not sure about '62 headlights, but I know that on my '65 the lenses are clearly stamped so you tell which is which (my car came to me with two right hand lenses instead of a left and a right; one was simply "flipped around" and installed - not noticeable until you inspect them closely). On the '65, the front of each lens is clearly stamped at the bottom. The front reads:SAE H 65Y. The rear of the left lens is stamped "2445253 LH DG"; the rear of the right hand lens is stamped "2445252 RH DG". Hope this helps.
