Transporting cars

I wanted to share this information with the list.
Last month I purchased a 1939 Imperial on E-Bay that was in St. Louis, Mo.
When I bought the car I did not give any thought of how I would get it to
our home in Oregon. The seller said fly back and drive it home. No way, its
about 2,200 miles and the car is 63 years old. I asked the seller who he
used to ship cars and he gave me the following information;
Meeker Trucking, Talk with Robert 800-936-5442
I called Robert and he said they do not go to the west coast but could
arrange shipment. He contacted K&B Trucking, 918-257-8009, Afton, OK Cell
417-849-0212.
They quoted $900. and about two weeks. They picked up the car on a Thursday
and the car was in our driveway in 8 days. The car arrived in great shape,
but dirty as it was an open transport. The truck was headed from here for
pick-ups in Portland, Or and Seattle, WA area and was heading east with a
full load of 7 cars to Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan. I am not sure
where all they travel, but I would sure give them a call as they did a good
job for me.
