In September 1997, I bought a $100.00 battery from WalMart. In September 2000 (three years later!), that battery went bad and would not start my car any longer. I returned it (to a different WalMart, half way across the country) with NO receipts or documentation and they replaced it, pro-rated and the new one cost me $15.00. I KNOW where MY battery money goes from now on! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Frank Zendell" <zinko@xxxxxxxxxx> To: "Imperial Mailng List" <mailing-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, August 06, 2002 8:54 PM Subject: IML: Sears Roebuck batteries In Oct 2000, Sears installed a Die-Hard in my '64, and over the week-end it had to be jump started and recharged. When I drove back to Sears I full expected them to charge me for a diagnosis and if the old battery was defective to pro-rate the cost of a replacement since it was warranted for 2 years. In fact, they replaced the battery at no cost. Too bad it took me almost 78 years to realize where to buy car batteries! I certainly recommend Sears for your next battery. Frank
