found 61 southampton i might buy



The bubble dash you refer to is used only on the 60-62 Chrysler. The part they were referring to to make it work would be the power pack to control the dash lighting. It it a small box around 1/ 1/2 x 3 inches & has  a plug with 2 wires connected to it. These power packs generally go bad with age & need to be rebuilt. If you have a car you plan on transplanting this cluster into, you should already have a power pack. If you can get the one out of the parts car, it would be worth getting.

does this car have the "bubble dash"?has anyone out there ever removed the "bubble" instrument cluster from a 61 chrysler?how involved is this and is there any electronic subassemblies that aren't integral but are part of it?i was told that there are components that make it work that are separate from the cluster itself.any help would be appreciated.i have to go get one out of a scrap vehicle and i want to be sure to get everything i need .thanks charlie 38 coupe.
