Manifold gaskets yes, they use them in the 70's era. That ticking sound, from a 440 is likely a manifold gasket or the exhaust coupler where the manifold meets the exhaust pipe. I recently bought manifold gaskets for about $12.00 CDN each. If you're handy with a wrench, they're not all that hard to change. If you're not handy with a wrench, I wouldn't think this is the car for you. Used AC compressors can easily be had from salvage. (I have a couple here) I would be worried about all the rust on this car, and for anyone who knows me, rust doesn't scare me that easily. ;-) I was told by my local parts drone that the rear air shocks are still available for these cars. About $117.00 CDN each. I'd say $2000 is LOTS for this car.
