Marc,
There will be controversy to my opinion on
buying rebuilt parts such as A/C compressors, starters, carbs, etc..I
always have my part rebuilt as when you take it off your car & have it
rebuilt by a quality rebuilder it will fit properly & hopefully work
correctly.
I send my A/C compressors to Old Air Products
in Texas because that is one of the things they specialize in. You can find
their 800 number in Hemmings, give them a call, you'll be amazed at all the A/C
stuff they rebuild; condensers; evaporators, etc.
If you need a 1960 compressor to start with go
to Lowell Howe's, if I was as close as you are I'd be there every day till he
ran me off..............go see him (call first) as he has all those
parts.

No luck at all. I have two old units, but not sure if either are good, plus both are missing the external EPR Valve. I could buy a 1961 Compressor to replace it, but they don't come with the front piece that mounts over the internal EPR valve and I don't have what goes there or even know what it is. I have tried Vintage air, and about every listing in Hemmings. Napa doesn't have anything, nor does any local autopart store. Places say that they might be able to rebuild it, buy I have to send it in and then just wait. Where can I get a replacement for these a/c Compressors. Could someone please help me!!!!!
