I checked my data plate. It has 55 under model and 137 under paint. I had desert rose 55, 12 years ago. I thought the owner of this car was incorrect when he told me Tahitian coral, I also thought desert rose. This car has never been repainted. But unless I am really wrong it is not desert rose. Indeed if the code for Tahitian coral is 000, and desert rose is 35 it is neither. Thanks for your help. anthony@xxxxxxxxxxxxx At 10:53 PM 2/25/02 +0100, you wrote: >Tahitian Coral is a '58 color (code OOO), not a '56; the PPG >code is 70749. >In '56 there was Desert Rose (code 35 above "paint" or "pnt" on >data plate; PPG 70512).
