How much to rebuild Carb, Carter Thermoquad

Hate to say it, Lance, but that's more or less what I was quoted for my
Carter AFB. I think there may be more to it than meets the eye. If it has
internal leaks, fixing them involves replacing seals around the various rods
and moving pieces.

Get some references for that money, if you can. Or do you know anyone who
has used this service. I had to pull mine from where I took it. Several
people had warned me in advance he was a whiner, and a problem seeker, not a
solution finder. All true. I bought the kit independently and a local club
member fixed it up. Not for free, and not quickly, either, but it looks
great and runs just fine, now.
