A similar, er, horror story appeared on ebay during October of 2000. That car started life as a 70 LeBaron 4DHT. The ad stated that the car, a "Luxury Sport Tourer" had been shortened 24". In an open-door shot you could see the rear door hinges remained on the B-pillar. The car had dual exhaust, air shocks, oversize Michelins (255/70-15), a "calibrated" speedometer, and some other incomprehensible features (like semi-automatic power). It had been "appraised and insured for $15000." Whatever. It looked just plain nasty. Oh yeah, I forgot about the Lincoln Town Car opera windows and the center high-mounted stop light. And the HUGE conversion-van type front console... Yikes. It looks pretty odd. ===== Kenyon Wills 6o LeBaron - America's Most Carefully Built Car 73 LeBaron - Long Low & Luxurious
