'62 Crown Power Antenna Question

The Antenna starting in the Fifties at least and ending in 1963 did not go
all the way into the Fender. I didn't see that anyone answered this for you.
If they did I apologize.

On my 65, the antenna in retract position is about 4" high. But right now it
refuses to operate so it is fully extended. I guess if it's going to break
it should be extended!
