Re: IML: Wood Grain On Glove Compartment

The 1966 had a20 year old Carlo Walnut. I used 0000 steel wool to take all the old varnish off. Then I used UV varnish and it came out great. Just be careful because the wood is paper thin.

Subject: IML: Wood Grain On Glove Compartment

Club Members,
Does anyone have an idea on what kind of wood is on the glove compartment of my 1966
Chrysler Imperial.  It's faded and peeling.  Is there a vendor to use to replace it, or do I buy whatever kind of wood grain it is and install it myself.  Curious!!!!!
