| Thanks to George, Phil et al for your suggestions.  George, I did
remove the assembly and fiddled with it a bit, but cannot seem to free up the
switch.  If I push REALLY hard the switch will move, but I'm afraid I'll
totally ruin it if I do that often.  Is there some type of lubricant I can
use?  Also, I was wondering if the lens could be reproduced in glass?
That would eliminate the problem of the heat produced by the large bulb causing
the plastic lens to soften & warp......but would it cause too much heat to
build up?  The woman who owns a local glass shop told me she had some sort
of ultra high speed drill that could drill screw holes in a small piece of thin,
tempered glass.  She thinks she could use the plastic lens as a
template.  Any opinions? Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year. |
