Do it all. Then it's done done done. At 45 years

Gang,
At what point is it restoration? At what point is it still maintenance? Is
there a magic number (ie my Imperial is 50 years old, do I restore it rather
than maintain it? My daily driver is 12 years old and is falling
apart...repair or restore)? It's quite obvious with a junk yard car, but
what about the '93 that is still being driven about? Reading what Kenyon
says above, failing parts need to be restored. But (using my 12 year old,
off-brand daily driver as an example), I'm putting a new master cylinder on
it. Is that restoration or repair? Opinions, please!
Thanks,
Laurie Carter
