IML: Great job, OIC folks ! ( Was: What's New?)

It is actually impossible to thank all the many volunteers who have made the
OIC such a great web site and who continue to keep it fresh and interesting.
Our community is so lucky to have such dedicated people step up to do this
long, often tedious, work. The quality of the presentation is better, in my
opinion, than on many sites that are run professionally. I have had the
pleasure of joining and taking part in a number of other transportation
related sites, including other makes such as Durant and Studebaker. Each
one has its own personality but none has the size, the scope and the flair
of the OIC. Ours really is the Imperial of web sites.
I remain optimistic that the ninety image slide slow with audio that I
acquired many moons ago, that makes a side by side comparison between the
1958 Imperial and the 1958 Cadillac - I won't tell you which comes out as
superior because I'd hate to ruin the ending for y'all - will end up on the
site probably sooner rather than later. I wonder if the video tape I bought
comparing these two cars and the Lincoln could be excerpted? If it served
as an advert for the product, with a link to where to get it, it might fly.
You have to see these cars performing on obstacle courses and rough road
tracks to believe it. While the undercarriage of the Cadillac simply
collapses, the Imperial looks so serene they driver could be sipping tea
from a china cup for all the concerns the car is giving.
Keep up the very fine work.
Hugh

Check out that button (lower right oval) on the
website homepage for some interesting tidbits.
We're getting into full-motion video these days.
