Hi Joe,

By strange coincidence I had the plastic cover off the center pillar of my '62 this afternoon and there is indeed an access hole in the pillar.  Unfortunately it isn't real usefull as far as direct access to the back of the switch.  However once the switch is unscrewed from the jam the connector (hopefully) comes along with it.  By using the correct box end wrench (3/8s I think) to unscrew the switch you can hold the pin steady thus preventing the wire from becoming twisted in the jamb.

It think I'm going to be needing a Map Light Switch for both my cars and for sure a Antenna Switch for my '60.  I'll check their site for it.
