IML: Significant Addition to Imperial Club Website

The Master Technicians Service Conference is one of
the most important (and most overlooked) resources
available to the restorer of vintage Chrysler
products:

http://imperialclub.com/Repair/Lit/Master/index.htm

We have been slowly amassing and publishing them on
the club website, and currently sit at about 70%
complete for 1947-1973, which has been a monumental,
decade-long task so far. (Thank you to all that have
made what has happened so far possible.)

MTSC:

Each month saw a new booklet for training on a
Chrysler service topic that was complimentary to the
FSM for that year.

Each month's booklet was designed to reinforce the
stop-action filmstrip/record combo that was shown in
the service area to the entire service crew as ongoing
training and updating of service knowledge.

We have a number of these but have not gone into
production on converting many of them due to focus on
other areas of the site, but we'll get there
eventually.

THE BIG NEWS that we've been dying to share is that
our group of website volunteers has procured and
digitally transferred 60, yes, 60! full-motion movies
that were part of this dealership training collection.

Full animation, deep sideburns, occasional comic
relief, and a scratchy, 8mm quality are all there,
providing an experience similar to what you might have
seen had you been a service technician in a dealership
in the 1970's.

Here is 1973 in full glory, with 74-78 on the way!

I encourage you to try the one on security systems
first. Keep an eye open for the Gorilla threatening
the pretty lady in the car! Also interesting to note
procedures for how these first alarms were to be
disabled/reset.

============

Please note that we have plenty of other really
interesting items that appear regularly on the WHATS
NEW page at the main website page:
