The only thing I
have to offer is a bit of wisdom from my old Auto Shop teacher: Too much
pressure will allow too much oil to be squirted on the cylinder walls, and
eventually the oil rings won't be able to control it, and you wind up burning
the excess.

between friends over the issue of oil pump for pressure or oil pump for
volume, and under what circumstances would require the application of
