Hi!

First, start to grind with sandpaper (depending how bad trims you have) 
from 400 to 1200~(water sandpaper) and when that trim looks little dim 
but smooth and nice then take for examble, Autosol Chrome polishing 
paste, and use the sisal Buffing wheel, the spiral sewn wheel or 
anything like that. And there you go...you have nice polished trims.

Try for little area to make sure that you understand how this works. If 
that makes it shine, then you can go further.
