I noticed that. I guess they didn't start
using "colored" battery cables until the 70s. They're both black in my '58
Imperial and the '69 Buick.

I have put two of the battery disconnects on my car (69). This way you
can remove the battery easily if you need to.
Be aware that you could also connect the terminals backwards. I have
positioned mine in such a way that you cannot do that.

I think I'm going to buy another fast clip and
just disconnect both posts. Each time I disconnect, I'll jump up and
down three times, throw salt over my shoulder, whistle Dixie and
alternate which wire to pull first. Hooking the battery back up
again may require religious intervention, but I'll do it
somehow!
