Javier, I'm glad you liked the idea. If it's physically possible to fit it all behind the bumper, I think it will make for a cleaner installation. Completely invisible when not towing. I forgot to mention in my last note that wiring up the controller isn't bad. I used a kit made by Hoppy when I wired my Dakota. The only wire that needed to splice into the truck's harness was the one to the brake light switch. Everything else was a new wire. The 7-flat RV connector has a provision for reverse lights, but my car trailer didn't have them so there was nothing to connect there. I did run a wire to the cab for that for future use. I can't remember if the wiring diagram came with the brake controller, harness or RV connector. It may have come with all of them. It's not difficult to figure out. If you do go with the receiver hidden behind the plate, be sure to hide that RV connector back there too.
