Re: IML: Imperials are a "C" or a ...???

I was wondering if the confusion of using letters as year codes is mistaken here. For example, S is 62, T is 63, V is 64. Then, the alphabet was used over again from the letter A, and it is 65, B is 66, C is 67, D is 68, E is 69 and F is 70, etc. This code started being used in paint codes in 1970. Example, 69 would be B5, bright metallic blue. Then for 70, it is FB5. F being the year. If you have a 70 with EB5, then the color is unchanged from a 69 color, but the code is added from the 69 color, E. Therefore, the mix code is the same as a 69 and 70. Joe Machado
