IML: 53 Imperial Question

Presently, there is a very nice 53 for sale on ebay. I note that it does not 
have the "Imperial" script on the fenders. This matches the early publicity 
pictures from Chrysler, but nearly every 53 that I have seen, including 
mine, does in fact have the script on the fender.

This probably constitutes a running change by Chrysler. Does anyone know 
anything about it...timing, how many vehicles affected, etc?  Thanks.
