Hi Phil....as you are up in Walnut Creek area do you have any info as to when the next 'Good Guys' show is going to be there in Pleasanton? While I am in Beaumont (CA) near PAlm Springs, my brother-in-law lives in Pleasanton so I was going to combine a trip up to see him and get in the show too, if I can time it right. Thanks for any info!! Dan Melnik 66 Convertible 66 LeBaron ---- philip rowe <prowe46@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: ============= Hi Henry - I was at B-J and agree with you. I went back about 8 times to look at the Imperial. The other car I liked was the 56 Desoto. I bought my 56 Imperial coupe a few months ago so I am new to the Imperial world. I am enjoying fixing all the little mechanical items on my car which sat in a garage for most of the last 30 years. I life across the hills in Walnut Creek and wonder if I might come by some weekend to see you 1960. I hope to have a 60 coupe in the not too distant future. I think our cars are under valued & enjoy the rarity of there. Way too many Mustang's, Camero's and Chevelle's at B-J. Flawless to my eye. We looked at it several times. The $130,000 price is very high, yes, but this beauty deserved that price, in my opinion. The car just stood out. There was nothing else like it there, except perhaps for the 1960 Polara cvt. There were so many cars that all kind of looked the same but not the DeSotos and the Imperial. The place was crawling with Challengers and Cudas. Counted over of them inside the Big tent next to the auction arena on Sunday when we were walking through the sold cars area. Seemed to be way too many for them all to have attained stratospheric prices, but then I didn't follow the prices. Can't stand the noise of the screaming auctioneer.
