Re: IML: Help gremlins in my 93!!!

Harvey, with regards to the alarm ,try putting the key in the drivers side door and turn it twice locking it and unlocking it before you open the door. This will shut down the alarm system manually with the key.
Harvey, I think you're right with the remote receiver being the culprit. It sounds like there is a malfunction with the system. Of course you know that the alarm can not be set if the trunk was open. I'm a bit confused myself here. I'll have to give it a little more thought and look into the manuals I have for this one.- In the mean time you might want to try an exorcism on the trunk if not the whole car. It sounds pretty spooky to me why this its happening. Just a thought -Ghostbusters! -Anthony -keep me posted-we'll figure it out!

They aren't too serious but need some insight on what might be wrong.  First my trunk does not stay closed.  Came home after Christmas and the trunk lid was open and wide open.  It closed fine but it was open the next morning.  So far every day the trunk is popped but at least it isn't open so something is causing it to unlock.  Second the alarm is on even when I don't lock the car, the neighbors really don't like me at 5:30 in the AM.  Do you think the remote receiver could be failing?
