The part you're talking about is a choke pulloff, not a dashpot. Some AFBs did use a dashpot (GMs for sure) but that component is mounted on the throttle linkage side and it prevents the throttle linkage from slapping completely shut upon throttle release. NAPA may have the part you need: http://www.napaonline.com/masterpages/NOLMaster.aspx?PageId=470&LineCode=CRB &PartNumber=24881&Description=Choke+Pull-Off Pete in PA From: "Chris Strohmeyer" <chrisstroh@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: IML: AFB Dashpot 67 Imperial Date: Wed, 20 Dec 2006 09:04:34 -0800 Reply-To: mailing-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Thx Dave, I just looked it up at Standard and it definately the wrong = one. Mine has an "L" bracket that is machine stamped to the dashpot it = self and takes 2 screws to fasten it to the carb body. This is an AFB = Carter carb #4412S.
