As crazy as that idea sounds, I've heard it from other sources as well (you
know who you are!). I'm going to clean what I can out of the freeze plugs,
then put an in-line filter on, and use the soap idea. Thanks everyone.

If you are going to by pass the radiator and heatere core, I would
consider runing some Tide soap thu the system. Works really good. It
loosens up the crud and can be flused out leaving the bolck super clean.
