RE: IML: Voltage Limiter Question

That rate is about right, Tim. Actually, the rate doesn't matter - as long
as the average voltage stays at the right level, the gauges will be happy.

Subject: IML: Voltage Limiter Question

Hello All,

I know the voltage limiter in my 73 is supposed to
produce a pulsating voltage for the gauges to work
properly. Does anyone known how fast a test light
should flash if the limiter working properly?

I replaced the defective one in my car with one I
ordered on line and before I put the instrument panel
back in the dash I checked it and the test light is
flashing once every 2-3 seconds. Is that correct or
should it be faster?

Thanks,

Tim Durrer
