Your car is already pretty much there - it has to have a carburetor type intake manifold and a fuel pump on it, so most of the EFI stuff is already gone. I don't know what you have for a distributor, but most likely you have an ESA computer controlled distributor now - just pop the distributor cap off and see if you have points in the distributor. If you do, it is NOT electronic, most likely, otherwise it is electronic to the extent that the non-EFI cars were - and that's fine - those were reliable cars, they just didn't have all the performance and economy of the EFI cars, as I said before. Is there just a way to just remove ALL the electronic engine management stuff from the car? Could i just get it all set up, running like an earlier Imperial, without any of it? I'm guessing since the car is designed for it, that may not be possible, and if it was, probably not a good idea, but just thought i'd ask. ----------------- http://www.imperialclub.com ----------------- This message was sent to you by the Imperial Mailing List.
