Today was a beautiful day in Southeast Missouri. Mrs. Hopkins' van needed service so when I dropped it off I had the dealer bring me home to pick up the '66 before returning to the office. It has been collecting dust, but I took it anyway. Until one drives a '66, you can't understand the feeling.. The view with all the glass, the ride, the handling, the rumble of a big V-8 with dual exhaust. The questions from the office staff-they had that 40 years ago? While my '66 isn't a trailer queen, it looks great and everything works. My thoughts of selling her have subsided. I thought someone else might take her out more, but I think that someone is me. Now I have to go be alone with her--Mrs. Hopkins, not the car silly...
