Although a ground on the antenna is a possible culprit, keep in mind that the antenna cable is shielded, therefore the outer portion of it including the connectors are essentially ground.
The front end of the radio does have capacitors, which if there is any corrosion in the connections, or if any of them are aluminum electrolytics, you will have a derated condition. And this will prevent the essential filtering that they provide.

It's the ground of the antenna wire. Have you noticed that it goes up
and down as you accelerate?
