Subject: Re: IML: Transmission Leak
Dan, clean the trans,(De-grease) then put a big piece of cardboard-paper
under it run the engine, see where the leak is (front, or back) It can also be
the shift shaft, or the throttle valve (kick down) seal. The output-shaft
seal, and oil pan can also leak, these can be done with-out trans removal. If
the oil comes from the flywheel, bell-housing, then your pulling the
trans.Hope this helps, Dave.

Has anyone had to
fix a transmission leak on a '67 CC with a 440? It seems it would
have to be coming from the front seal or the rear. Assuming the housing
is not cracked is this correct? And how involved
might the repairs be? Are the parts still
available?
Thanks,
Dan
