I had my old heater control valve rebuilt by Old Air Products in Fort Worth, Texas (www.oldairproducts.com).

Pricey, but they did an excellent job.

I saw one for a ?62 on ebay the other day.  Wouldn?t that work?  Sometimes you have to check for parts on other years.
