Does anyone out there know where I can obtain an insulated brush alternator
for a 1969 Imperial with a transistorized voltage regulator? Every source that I
have tried comes up with a conventional alternator for use with a mechanical
regulator. I'm getting tired of sending them back. I understand from the 1969
Imperial & Chrysler Charging System Diagnosis Service Book (Session 256),
that the two are not interchangeable. Unfortunately, the original insulated
brush alternator, due to stupidity and inexperience on my part is no longer
around to have rebuilt. Thanks.
