I just wanted to tell a short story about my last Imperial
wash. I had been working on my 64 Crown A/C for a week. Finally got it working
right on 134! Nice & COOL. Being my 64 LeBaron was in my shop I had to work
& leave my Crown out in front of the shop. Well I live in a rural area with
Almond orchards all arrounfd me. The tractors as well as the west wind stirs up
all kinds of fine peat dust. I think it was almost 1/4 inch thick. Well I have a
American Indian Rehab Lodge just down the street from me. Guess what, they do
car washes by hand to help support the lodge. Ok so I drive the Imperial
down & honk for someone to come out & tell me if they can wash my car.
Well I had 8 guys (American Indians) washing & polishing & ogling
my car. The oldest one was 10 yrs younger then the car. They couldn't get enough
of it. They wanted to see the Motor, trunk , you name it. They were very
impressed. My Imperial is only a 3 maybe, but they loved it. Oh well it gives
new meaning to the song: " Car Wash"
