Kate, thanks for putting it out there, I couldn't have said it better myself. While I point out the fact that my coupe was not built for city driving, I have yet to drive anything to rival it on the open interstate. The ride and handling continue to surprise me when I am out on I-95 or the Beltway. It is not something I would expect from a 33 year old car (but it continues to take me to school on what it's made of). Not to mention the rubber necking factor (other drivers looking at my car, not the other way around). Although my neighbor across the street continues to call it and Impala (no matter how many times I've politely corrected her). GAH! Thanks for letting me sound off. Seeing one is a store parking lot is fine, but the real fun comes while driving down the highway. Under the right set of circumstances, that surprise can be as enlightening today as it was when the cars were driven off the show room floor. Paul W.<SNIP> Absolutely on target. I spend far too much of my life commuting in a tiny Metro, by need not by desire. When I took Lucille out for the first time in a LONG time, a couple weeks ago, I was reminded once more of what a superb road machine these Imperials were designed to be. Sheer pleasure, luxurious comfort, all the power one could wish for, and precise handling - what more could you want? Having just come back from a
straight-through R/T to Kalispell MT, in a
MUCH newer and VERY plushly appointed F**d truck, I have to say they ain't learned much in 35 years of automotive "advancement" over my big '68! Kate Kate Justet Triplett Homesick Angels LLC www.IrishHuntersandJumpers.com Sultan, WA USA
