You will need to study the OIC Web site to learn the whole story. Bottom line, it isn't anymore a Chrysler Imperial than a Chrysler Dodge, or a Plymouth Chrysler, or a Chrysler DeSoto, or even a Chrysler Chrysler. Imperial became its own make in 1955 and remained so until around 1971, and then only briefly was an Imperial By Chrysler.

Imperial Division RB only engine's heads or gaskets.
Note: No such vehicle as a 1965 Chrysler Imperial.
