The reason your agent had "trouble" dealing with J.C. Taylor is that
J.C.Taylor is an agent, not a company.  Safeco is a company and your agent
is probably licensed to represent them, so naturally things are easier for
him that way. Since this was an agent trying to deal through another
agent, J.C. Taylor was in a broker position, which they may not be
licensed to do.
