Yes, the 1966 Imperial with its body and frame construction is considred a D body. And 1966 was the last year for the D body. That body (and frame) was introduced for 1957, and virtually nothing outside of the powertrain interchanges with any of the other Chrysler Corporation lines (alhough the torsion bars and some front suspension bits apparently swap with the larger 1957-59 DeSoto and Chrysler series).
