You can help hide the conditon of the steering wheel by putting on one of 
those leather looking steering wheel wraps,  The string like part that you wrap 
with will hold the plastic under it.  Due to the size of the wheel and the 
style go to a big rig truck stop for this item.  This is a band aide type of 
repair, but it will do until you repair or find a better wheel from 
impparts@.gpcom.net .
