Re: IML: HELP!!!! 64 IML BRAKE DRUMS

If you cannot find drums, one option is metal spraying. A good machine shop may spray-weld metal back into the drums. Then you machine the surface and use them as you normally would. The process has been used for years to rebuild crankshafts and other metal parts. Another option is sleeving, but I don't think it is a good idea.

Subject: IML: HELP!!!! 64 IML BRAKE DRUMS

My car is on the rack for an expensive brake job, but the drums are too far out to turn. Can't find a source - Kanter, Bernbaum, Atlas - all the sources listed are a no go.

ANYONE with a source for new or used drums (well within tolerances) out there?

Thanks,

Jay
