Good Job! I know it's a great feeling. Just keep after it! Mann Sent: Friday, October 28, 2005 7:05 PM To: IML Subject: IML: It's aliiiiive! All, I finally got time, a few minutes a day, actually, and got the distributor back into the 68. New wires, and a little gas, and it lit off. After a little warm-up stumbling, it settled down. I set the timing, and factoring out the badly leaking exhaust, it really sounds good. Smooth idle, no stumble on takeoff (though I only drove it about half a mile, very gently). Regardless, this is closer to what I hoped for, and other than the time spent really angry, only amounted to a good tuneup. Brakes seem fine, but I want to have a look before I drive much. Then tires, and it may be ready to drive. Lots of things to fix or tweak, but I can.
